Meet Our Horses

Our horses are everything to us. We emphasize that horses are not machines; they are living, breathing, thinking animals that we are so lucky to experience every day. The care of our animals comes first, we guide and expect all students, volunteers, and visitors to respect (and love!) our horses.

The majority of our horses are rescue horses who have undergone extensive rehab and treatment to ensure they feel good inside and out. We have zero tolerance for any poor treatment of our horses.

Buck - QH Gelding

IMG_7950.heic

Buck is a very popular guy! With his kind and gentle demeanor with a playful personality, he is impossible not to love! Buck is game for anything - from jumpers, to western games, to a bareback and bridle-less trail ride. If he gets to do it with you, he's happy!

Buck is suitable for all riders.

Little Foot - Percheron x TB Gelding

LF.jpg

Nothing about Little Foot is little at all. He is our tallest lesson horse with a big personality to match! Don't let his size intimidate you, as inside he has a huge heart and gentle soul. Little foot is a stunner in the dressage ring, although his true love is for jumping. Need that confidence boost over fences? Little foot was ready yesterday!

Coco - Welsh Mare

IMG_7958.heic

Don't let her small size fool you, Coco's legs are made of springs! Coco is an eventing machine, and is happiest out on the XC course. Coco doesn't mind some dancing in the sandbox either, and is polishing out her 2nd level skills. If you want an oversized dog with a fiery heart and a treat addiction - Here is Coco!

Flash - TWH Gelding

IMG_7945.heic

Flash the all-arounder! Flash is another favorite in our program, and loves to be doted on. Being a little older, his big show jumping days are behind him now, but you would not be able to tell! Flash is happy to show all riders the ropes of English and Western riding, and is a fantastic best friend to everyone.

Dakota - Paint Mare

IMG_7690_edited.jpg

Want to give western a try? Dakota is your girl! Dakota can ride English, although she truly shines in western tack. Dakota could probably run the patterns herself, you just need to sit tight and look good! Dakota had one eye removed, but this does not hold her back whatsoever. Dakota is excited to meet you!

Ruby "Rue" - Quarter Horse Mare

Rue thinks she is a puppy; she will follow you around, loves scratches, and will do anything for treats! Ruby belongs to one of our volunteers who allows her to be loved on by our students. Ruby is fantastic in western riding and is quickly getting the hang of English. An all-around best friend, Ruby does great with all kinds of riders.

Serenity - Percheron x QH Mare

IMG_7859.heic

Serenity was the perfect name to describe this mare. Serenity was pulled sick and skinny from a kill pen. Through a long process of careful rehab and gentle care, we are lucky to see her personality blossom. Serenity is perfect to learn horsemanship, liberty, and patience with horses. She is a saint in the saddle, but she has so many more special things to teach students from the ground up.

Oz - Pony Gelding

oz_edited.jpg

Lil Oz! Oz is your stereotypical "too smart for their own good" pony. Oz knows his job and exactly what he needs to do - Anything extra? You may have to bribe him with treats. Oz is fantastic with anyone just like him: Small, but mighty!

Clyde - Mini Horse Gelding

Clyde is one of our "Tiny Tot" ponies, and also enjoys our "Walking With Horses" events. Clyde has all the patience in the world for the smallest riders. Clyde is worth double his weight in gold!
